There is little point in having a great site unless people visit it – and then do something!
The world of Digital Marketing continually changes, but the objective remains the same – getting quality traffic to your site that converts to customers. From our offices in Shrewsbury in Shropshire we are a Digital Marketing Agency with clients across the West Midlands and the whole UK. We concentrate on 4 key channels to drive traffic to your site. These are Search Engine Optimisation, Google Adwords, Email Marketing and Social Media Marketing – how these mix and balance will depend on your objectives and also to some extent on the budget you have available.
If you simply want to have a chat about how your own Digital Marketing activities might be improved, we are more than happy to work on a consultancy basis where we provide you with advice and guidance but don’t necessarily perform the actual work.
Online Marketing Activities
Being well ranked in Google is key to the the online success of any website; a site must be properly optimised in order to stand any chance of generating sales and/or enquiries. There are many factors that influence a site’s search engine rankings and it is the level of recognised authority that a site gains that governs its level of success in the online market.
In recent years websites have been effectively marketed by use of inbound linking strategies and directory listings – perform the correct SEO, gain inbound links from varied, relevant and above all quality sources and the authority of a site increases and therefore the search engine rankings improve.
Since the advent of Social Media Marketing – Blogging, Facebook, Twitter, YouTube etc., the way that we use the Internet to find information has changed.
Social media has presented SEO’s and online marketers with a multitude of new channels and opportunities to promote businesses via the Internet.
Digital Marketing Strategy
In order to implement an appropriate strategy, we first need to formulate one! Where are you now? Where do you want to get to? Working out how to get where you want to go is what we would call your Digital Marketing Strategy. Which tools you use would be defined as tactics.
Any strategy we put forward will have the following objectives:
- Build your site’s authority
- Ensure your site is perceived as highly relevant and within topic
- Ensure your site is a reliable and trusted source of information
- Ensure that people will happily recommend your services to others
Achieving the above objectives will ensure that the traffic that is driven to your website is of high quality and service targeted – with a higher probability of conversion to enquiries and sales.
Monitoring & Reporting
The key to the success of any Digital Marketing Strategy is to be able to monitor and measure its’ performance and evaluate the ROI. We use Google Analytics to deliver concise, user friendly, web metrics style reports. This allows us to review results and evaluate the success level of your project, sending these to you by email on a monthly basis.
We will always advise when new or additional search related applications, tools and directory opportunities are available and how best to utilise these in order to maximise online business exposure. E.g. Google Business Centre, custom maps etc. In addition, we will always act in response to any changes in search algorithms and/or search indexing practices that may affect the performance of your site.
The following sections give a brief overview of the services we have available – there is more information on the various channels available by following the appropriate links.

Search Engine Optimisation (SEO)
We will optimise your web site for the major search engines using our competitor, market and keyword research methodology. We will evaluate and recommend a defined list of key phrases that will, with effective search engine rankings, return high levels of targeted traffic that convert to enquiries and sales.
With the list defined, the pages and content of the site will be optimised for the selected phrase(s), matching relating phrases to appropriate content throughout. This ensures that each site page is search engine friendly and will be indexed accurately in relation to the topic of the page – this is known as Search Engine Optimisation or SEO.
It is very important that consideration is given to SEO at the START of a project as the results of the SEO research help to determine the content and structure of the site.
Email Marketing is a fantastic way of engaging with your customer base. You are communicating with people who have chosen to receive your communication so they are open to your offer to start with.
If you are going to use email marketing you should be using a system that gives you some worthwhile metrics on the success of the campaign. You could of course just use Outlook or something similar to send the campaigns but we don’t recommend this as you could easily end up having yourself blacklisted as a spammer!
A proper email system will give you lots of valuable information – who is opening your email, whether they click through to your site or optimised landing page and many other details that will let you refine your email campaigns over time.
